Why not adopt today?

Welcome to RACE -

Romanian Animal Care Europe

As a dog adoption and rescue charity, our purpose is to find homes for the puppies and dogs that have come into our care from being abandoned on the streets or badly abused.  The majority of our rescues live with our frontline worker and fosterer, Elena Popa, where they are properly socialised and get plenty of human interaction with the other dogs and cats.  Every RACE dog is fully assessed before being rehomed.  Our dear friends, Adela and Costi Ciurea, take on the foster of our surplus rescues as well as caring for some of those rescues who are not rehome-able for various reasons.

When we do find forever homes for our rescues, we want them to be right, for both the dog and the family. We work hard to achieve that as we like a happy ending. Please enjoy meeting some of our dogs on this site, all of whom were rescued from the streets or from Romanian Public (Kill) Shelters and are now living their best lives with the adoptive families.

Our main source of communication is our Facebook page, so make sure you're following us to keep up to date with all of the latest news

Sponsor a Rescue, Today

Every month RACE rescues rely on the love and generosity from our donors. You can feed a dog for just £15 a month to make sure their bowl is full at dinner time.

All dogs are fully vaccinated, microchipped and passported. Where they are old enough, they are neutered/spayed. In the case of puppies who are not old enough to be neutered, it will be a term of any adoption that this procedure is carried out by the adopters vet once the dog is of a suitable age as verified by the vet.  Every dog is 4DX Snap Tested and Brucellosis Tested.

If you are interested in adopting any of our dogs, please read our adoption process.

Dogs for Adoption

We do not advertise our dogs for adoption on this site but on our Facebook and Instagram pages as this reaches a far higher audience.  Please browse our Facebook to see our dogs who are currently looking for their forever homes.
