Misha
adopted by: Lesley Manning
"Hand on heart I can honestly say that from start to finish the adoptive process through RACE was straight forward and very helpful. Elena is wonderful with the dogs - the love she gives them alongside the care helps prepare them for their forever homes which is not something all rescues do. I would be very privileged if Misha was to feature on the RACE website."

Lulu, Bobby and Meeko
adopted by: Andrea Rigiani
on: 06/2018, 28/10/2018, 17/02/2019
"I lost my Sam in 2017 and the house was just so empty, so I began looking for another. In January 2018 I rescued my girl - she had been walking the Romanian streets, cold and alone. 5 months later I saw Bobby on the RACE facebook page, a 2 year old, and knew that I had to have him. The two dogs got on really well and now can not be apart from each other!
I thought that was it: 2 dogs, 5 cats and 2 fish, "no more!"... Until I saw Lulu. She was on RACE's page but couldn't be homed yet, so for 3 months I followed her until she was ready for adoption. A few weeks later she was with me, playing with dogs and cats - something that she had never done before!! It has been hard work to get her to live in a busy home with a family & pack to trust, but she is certainly getting there. As I love dogs so much, I registered as a RACE emergency foster after saying to Sue that I would love to help. Then in February 2019, I got my first foster dog, and well, you guessed it - he stayed with me.
RACE do a great job, so please if you love dogs, please go to RACE and find your best friend x"

Lara
adopted by: Shannon Brown
in: October 2019
"I adopted Lara back in October 2018 when she was six months old. Initially Lara was shy and timid, but over time, and now she has settled into family life in the UK she has become outgoing, loves everyone and everything and adores attention. I didn’t think I’d ever adopt a Romanian dog, but it was one of the best choices I ever made for my family – Lara’s great! I would highly recommend adopting from RACE. If I ever decide to add to our family again, I’ll go straight back to Elena, which is always on hand should you need any advice or information."

Scout
adopted by: Heather Lauren
in: June 2018
"We adopted Scout in June 2018, and he came to us in August. It's taken some adjusting, for both us and him, but he's the most wonderful, playful boy. He's made our lives so much brighter (and covered in fur!) and he's come on so far with his training and socialisation. He's recently been neutured, which he wasn't too pleased about but he's recovering well and can now enjoy going back to doggy day care with all his doggy friends! Scout is so loved by everyone who meets him, and he's growing into such a big, wonderful boy!"

Ivory
adopted by: Steven Henry
"Ivory lived outside her whole life so she is sometimes hesitant to go through door ways. When she's on the lead she walks around no problem; she just needs that encouragement. Ivory must have been used of getting shouted at for looking for food in people's gardens I'm guessing. She has settled really well and gets more adventurous every day. Ivory adores a tummy rub! She hasn't braved the stairs yet but no rush. We have been on walks to the lake and she loves to lie down in the water to cool off, then chase the ducks. The vet suggested a diet since she's a little over weight. I've seen her getting more energy to run around since and looks happier for it."

Dolly
adopted by: Deborah Pitts
in: October 2018
"Dolly joined us back on 13 October 2018 and settled well into our family life. She is such a happy a soul and the most loving dog. I am sure she wakes up every morning (when she decides to get up!) and can’t believe how much her life has changed and each day is a new exciting adventure. You will never have the perfect dog and she does have a few quirks, But I think we have been very lucky with Dolly and she has well and truly got her paws under the table. Best Wishes to you all at RACE and the amazing work you all do."
